This was my first time and I wanted to take it all in without feeling rushed.\u00a0 The weather was gorgeous.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/argyle.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/IMGP0149.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-2194\" title=\"IMGP0149\" src=\"https:\/\/argyle.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/IMGP0149-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/a>The people were gracious.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/argyle.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/DSCF1839.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-2195\" title=\"DSCF1839\" src=\"https:\/\/argyle.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/DSCF1839-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/a>And the offerings were sensational.<\/p>\n<p>Lois Songer, festival organizer was exhausted when I caught up with her.\u00a0 She looked none the worse for wear and tear though and her eyes lit up when she discussed the artists in the show.\u00a0 This year 86 artists from all over the USA and one from Canada made it through jury selection.\u00a0 Collectors will be happy to note that 12 new artists are showing along with favorites from years past.\u00a0 Two cruise ships added to the excitement and, when asked, participants seemed happy with sales and interest.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/argyle.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/IMGP14911.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-2289\" title=\"IMGP1491\" src=\"https:\/\/argyle.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/IMGP14911-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I was immediately drawn to the bold work of Michel Delgado, a visionary  brut artist from Senegal who now resides in Key West.\u00a0 Michel has been  painting his entire life. He generously allowed me to photograph his  free and expressive works. Ron salvages wood and tin from houses being town down to make his pieces. He doesn&#8217;t have a website yet but can be reached at richkrajovic@att.net<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/argyle.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/IMG_0735.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-2239\" title=\"IMG_0735\" src=\"https:\/\/argyle.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/IMG_0735-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><\/a>He told me that &#8220;Everyone said I was crazy to get into this. I had a degree in business &#8211; can you imagine. . . . But now I&#8217;m a hero. Sheesh . . .&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/argyle.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/IMG_0739.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-2240\" title=\"IMG_0739\" src=\"https:\/\/argyle.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/IMG_0739-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/a>Rich melds copper and bronze together and uses an acid base to create patina.
